Term for waste with water content. In the catering context there is a large amount of organic waste i.e. waste from food preparation such as fruit and vegetable peelings, bones and leftovers.
Wet waste may be used for animal feed (subject to EU directive 1774/2002), composted or processed to generate biogas.
